Changing the skinsEdit

Just a quick note - would it be possible to customise the skin to something more befitting this wiki? And if it goes wrong, would it be possible to correct it - would there be any backup procedures that I would have to perform before this could be done? I don't want to change anything as major as that without being sure of what I'm doing. It may be a couple of weeks or so before I crack on with this - I've got exams and stuff, so it may be a little while before I make a start on it - I'm not neglecting the wiki, just getting on with the exams mainly. I'll probably make a couple of minor edits here and there in the meantime.

A couple of updatesEdit

Hi - I like the skin that you created - it's pretty sweet. I'm in the process of trying to create my own, I'll send you the link once I've created it successfully (I'm trying for something purple and black). Whilst I remember, do you have any particular opinion on the categorising of the pages? I'm thinking of a bit of an overhaul regarding characters and the games, and creating a ton of red-links for weapons for characters, etc. as well as some new articles.

I'm not quite sure how to handle him - if he even requires it. I'm assuming that he is misguided, but an otherwise keen editor, and simply needs to learn how to edit, but he's uploaded a dangerous image (something like "Silhouetted character", according to the image log), and keeps editing the Character Category page. I'm not saying that he's actually doing anything wrong, but it's like the fourth or fifth edit that he's made about this unknown character. Is there a diplomatic solution that you would recommend? It's not just me that picked up on it either - LobsterMobster isn't too pleased about it either...

Wikis are important, and I hate vandalism and spam as much as you do... thats why I am sending you this message first; as you appear to be one of the people in charge here. You may not know me, but I run the tournament community for Soulcalibur at 8WayRun.Com. I'm trying to do everything I can to make sure our community is known, and possibly help in grow in the coming months as Tekken comes out and possibly steals our thunder. Searching through google, I realised that this Wiki is one of the primary results for Soulcalibur. Even though 8WayRun.Com is the most active Soulcalibur community on the net, we just can't break into anywhere near the top of the results.

So I am asking if it would be possible to get a notice about our website featured prominantly on the main page of this wiki. 8WayRun.Com is the home for competetive tournaments for Soulcalibur. We offer event planning, as well as RSVP services. We also have our own ranking system, where players around the country are given points based on their performances at these tournaments. We also have a comprehensive directory of videos, and our own technical wiki which references this wiki in it's main page. I also can't forget to mention our extremely active integrated chatroom which helps to keep spam off the forums, and our customizable skin.

SoulCalibur for Noobs Edit

Hey,

I'm an avid gamer, but I'm new to soul calibur and actually new to fighting games in general. As such, I've been trying to find a good info source/guide/something for people who are *totally* new to Soul Calibur 4 and have no background in fighting games. The game manual is not very informative and I've found very little online. Any suggestions?
