Influence on the Soul Series
Edit

Added by DarthdoomSoulcalibur II introduces Heihachi Mishima, one of the central characters of Tekken as a guest character for the Playstation 2 version. In Soulcalibur III, there is a Jaguar Mask which looks exactly like King's from the series, as well as a hairstyle that imitates that of Tekken's current protagonist (antagonist as of Tekken 6 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion), Jin Kazama, the grandson of Heihachi Mishima.
Apart from Yoshimitsu having alot of attacks from his Tekken counterpart, many of the playable characters throughout the Soulcalibur games use some of Tekken character's attacks. examples include Yun-Seong having some of Hwoarang's attacks, Lynette using some of Eddy Gordo/Christie Monteiro's moveset, Viola using some of Zafina's moves and stance, Devil Jin's moves make an appearance as a fighting style for Created Characters.
Some characters in Tekken can be customized to look like Soul Calibur characters. For example, Lili can be customized to look like Amy, Lee Chaolan like Raphael, and Marshall Law like Maxi.
In Soulcalibur V, custom characters may be equipped with the unique style of Devil Jin, one of the series' iconic characters.
Following the patch due for March 21st, custom characters will have access to King's, Xiaoyu's, Jin's, Jun's, and Asuka's apparel.
