[edit] Name?

In the game he is referred to as The Apprentice, should we keep the page as it is or change it?

I've moved it, we should use the in-game names.--Richard 17:35, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Protection

I've protected the page from IPs and new users due to them adding his real name in the Force Unleashed series, which is a big spoiler.--Richard 17:01, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

It is their problem if they look at the article and got spoiled(does not matter to me),its the same as all other wikis that contain spoilers.Do not worry,I put a warning for visitors so they could automatically leave. I always wanted to know his real name, even lots of fans but I put the warning just incase. User:Twelve 21:30 (sorry,my type letters on my computer cant put big brackets, find me in members).

Then read his name on Wookieepedia. The thing is his name is never said in SCIV. If his name is not said in SCIV, then there's no need for it here.--Richard 16:46, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Okay this is getting ridiculous, can someone do something?

Whoever is doing this apparently can't get it through his thick wooden head that we don't want those types of spoilers here. He apparently logged in and put in yet ANOTHER spoiler to his real name, plus he put some crap about Starkiller taking the two swords for himself. I deleted that stuff, but chances are, he's gonna keep being a stubborn rat and continue trying to overflow with spoilers. SouIEmbrace 18:03, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

It's alright now Fpunzi 18:22, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Some of the information here is different than that which is in Soulcalibur IV. For example, in SC4, it doesn't state his father's name, but it states that Starkiller was born on Kashyyyk, whereas the page here states that his birthplace is unknown. MAILBOXARSON99 00:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Father's

Does anyone know if The Apprentice's father is mentioned in his profile, because if so he should be mentioned in the article. - Fpunzi 17:09, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

A lot of stuff isn't mentioned in Yoda's and Vader's profile and they're mentioned on their pages. Why shouldn't Starkiller's father and master be mentioned? 75.163.151.147 06:47, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unlock

Where can you unlock him? I fought him in Arcade once but lost due hes skills.. WickedGrain 11:46, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

That's the only way to do it Fpunzi 21:21, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

So i beaten him, but i still didnt unlock him or do i need to clear the whole arcade? WickedGrain 09:02, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

You need to complete the entire arcade as Yoda Fpunzi 09:18, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Or Vader, if you have it for PS3.--72.65.235.83 21:54, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Read, maggots

Before you start reverting "spoilers", let me remind you that The Force Unleashed (in novel and graphic form) have been officially released for about three weeks. If you're going to revert info concerning his family, then apply the same standard to Yoda and Vader. Stop being a bunch of hypocrites.75.163.134.53 08:20, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Let's be civil

Please, let's try to keep discussion civilised. The fact is this is a Soulcalibur wiki, therefore information regarding the characters that isn't involved wihtin the game does not belong here, especially if this information may be considered spilers for an upcomming game. I realise some information on Vader's and Yoda's profiles isn't relevant to Soulcalibur, but it's hardly major plot details, and I really don't think it's worth the hassle. Trust me, this'll stop being a big deal after The Force Unleashed comes out, but until then his real name WILL be removed from the article. Fpunzi 21:55, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

but it's hardly major plot details
Read that again and tell me you aren't serious. THE MOST WELL KNOWN SPOILER is on Vader's page.

Hey, tell that to the guy who keeps putting stuff not relevant to SCIV there. And did you really have to delete my comments? I was trying to make a point, and the only reason I was being like that was to get through his thick head. Most other ways I doubt will work. SouIEmbrace 22:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey, loser. How about instead of flaming me, you apply Apprentice page standards to the Star Wars characters?

I would if you had any major point. "THE MOST WELL KNOWN SPOILER is on Vader's page."

Yaaaa...I checked. I don't see anything that really qualifies as a MOST WELL KNOWN SPOILER. Unless you mean the Apprentice being his apprentice, but hell, EVERYONE knows that. And as a matter of fact, I will. SouIEmbrace 22:07, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, ok I'm not touching Vader since I haven't seen his profile. I'm an Xbox man. SouIEmbrace 22:09, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry about removing your post, I didn't really feel comfortable censoring it.

As for the Vader 'spoilers', you said it yourself, they're well known spoilers, I doubt anyone who knows who Vader is doesn't know he's Luke's dad. I'm giving you one last warning, change the page again and you're gone, understood? Fpunzi 22:10, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Did you even read my case for changing his name? THE FORCE UNLEASHED IS ALREADY OUT. IT SHOULDN'T MATTER ANYMORE.

Um, the book is out yeah, however the largest portion of the Force Unleashed is the game, which isn't out. Considering this is video game wiki, people will be most likely to be finding out their information from the game. Wait a few weeks for the majority of people who are interested to complete the game, then the info is fair game. Fpunzi 22:15, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

The link to Wookiepedia shows his real name. I'm quite sure that lots of people know his name by now, besides The Force Unleashed comes out in 10 days. B-52 21:48, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

We will keep those things out of here until it comes out, nonetheless. SouIEmbrace 21:49, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Lightsaber style

Starkiller did not teach himself lightsaber style, according to Wookiepedia, his form of combat is Form VII: Juyo.

And according to the occasional Starkiller-hater, his lightsaber style is "Fling your sword around stupidly". Do we put that there? No. Wanna know why? Because it isn't official. Neither is Wookiepedia. Soulcalibur IV however, is official (somewhat, at least). Therefore, we put what Soulcalibur IV says. Don't like it? Well, tough luck then. SouIEmbrace 20:55, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

But according to Soulcalibur IV it is self-taught, therefore that is what should be on his profile. Fpunzi 21:58, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

It doesn't matter what's on there. He did not teach himself! Juyo is what should be on there. B-52 22:01, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

This wiki is only for information pertaining to Soulcalibur games, information about The Apprentice in other media can be found on Wookiepedia.

[edit] Spoiler Template

Why not put up a spoilers template at the top of his page, at least?

Well, I would, if I had any particular clue how. SouIEmbrace 07:02, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

There used to be a protection thing on the page and a note to all editors about spoilers, I'm not sure whatever happened to that...SouIEmbrace 07:09, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A compromise

How's about this? We'll keep his profile clear of non-SC information. However, if there is something you think is important that should be added put it in the trivia section. I'll add a spoiler alert to that section. Fpunzi 10:07, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

I think we can settle for that. Or at least I can. SouIEmbrace 12:59, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Once again...lightsaber style

I do not think that Starkiller's style listed as "Self Taught" in Soulcalibur IV necessarily conflicts with info from LucasArts. At least, unless Wookiepedia is wrong.

Here, I'll give you a bit from Wookiepedia.

"Now in Vader's custody, the young Galen was taught the ways of the Force by the Dark Lord personally. The boy was not guided every step of the way by his new master; instead, he was allowed to find his own way, with Vader offering scant advice and instruction."

See now? Not necessarily conflicting. SouIEmbrace 19:16, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
