Hilde's link

I know this is a minor issue, but it has started to annoy me to no end. Why do some users insist on having Hilde's name only partially linked, while every other character has their full name in the link? It makes the character list look inconsistent and thus unaesthetic. I've changed it back to the way it was three times now with an explanation, but it always gets changed back without a reason. So I'm asking now, why do you want to make my eyes hurt? Disappointment

Now, i'm a long time fan of the series and am looking forward to the new game, however, there are a few disappointments. Firstly, the story. I'm sorry but a new Nightmare returning is hardly original although i was hoping on seeing him in some way. Lizardman's wings....not sure. To be honest, character wise, alot has changed. Cervantes as a full human in a new body, i don't like that idea. Barely any of the characters having aged is strange. I'd like to see more returners. Another Astaroth, another (I know i've said it) Cervantes, and another Yoshimitsu, why not have the same one? I know i'm moaning but i'd just like to see what everyone else thinks.

Well, i have to say that i understand why they made new versions of the older characters. For instance, they could have renewed Nightmare for a new storyline in the game which will make more sense than just killing him off in SC4, and Astaroth was also killed by Maxi in SC4, but due to them being well liked characters by players(Me excluded) They had to bring them back somehow. Only Yoshimitsu is the only one that they could've just let him be, the mystery of him was what made him more special, like is he human or is he something else, but now that they've replaced him for a identical Yoshi kinda ruines the point(Or is that just me??). Anyway, about Lizardman...yeah, i got nothing...but i like the idea of a character with wings, only not on Lizardman, but he looks like fun. And I think Cervantes body change was kinda better for him, he looked the same in SC 2/3/4 and it was time for a change. Well, that was my point of view. Anyone else? Mokujin Like Character

Since Daishi mentioned that there would be a character that would copy other players, people just blindly thought that it was a confirmation for The Edge Master, but like it said on the page of the Edge Master, there are also other characters that can use other peoples style and not just him. And maybe it will be a new character that is completly different than all the others, so can people wait until there is a confirmation? R-owdy 17:22, November 19, 2011 (UTC+1)

I think we should definitely wait. There is a high possibility that it could be a new character because all the "Mokujin-like" characters to appear in Soulcalibur games have always been new ones. Like Charade and Ocladan. But, I would be really happy if they brought back Edge Master. EnemyLove 16:33, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Now hold on just a second: The article claims that, despite the time skip and Edge Master's age, he's still popular enough to be brought back after all these years. I find this statement alone to be a little biased: I think someone - whoever seems a little adamant about mentioning what they perceive as a "strong possibility" of his return - likes Edge Master a bit too much, more than the average fan, I would surmise. I haven't heard anything that supports the idea that he's any more popular than the other mimic characters. On top of that, the developers have never re-used mimic characters in the past - Charade replaced Edge Master, and Olcadan replaced Charade. Chances are they'll do the same again and make a new character, rather than bring back someone who's only had a passing mention since his last appearance, which was a very long time ago. I'd like to "vote" in favor of removing mentions of this alleged "implication" of Edge Master's return, since I find no supporting evidence that this hinted "Mokujin"/mimic character will be him. Teamrocketspy621 05:21, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Well, in the "Confirmed Characters" section on the Soulcalibur V page it says that Daishi Odashima "mentioned" that the Mokujin-like character will be one the most popular characters of the series. Hinting that it possibly could be someone like Edge Master. That being said, that's pretty much confirming that it's going to be a returning character (unless they have some kind of certainty that the fans will love the new copy-cat - which I doubt.) On the other hand, there is always a that same possibility that the person who put up that information could have misunderstood Daishi, could be a troll editor, or just really loves Edge Master like you said. (Heh, I'm speculating again, lol.) Anyways, I'm gonna try and look for a source and probably put up that Edge Master's possible return is so far only a theory. EnemyLove 13:28, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Now that I think about it, I think the speculation of Edge Master's return should be moved to the Trivia section on his own page because I don't really think the Soulcalibur V game page should be a place for speculation - Especially in the "Confirmed Characters" section. Anyone agree? EnemyLove 13:47, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Hm, I hadn't heard about it being said that the mimic will be "one of the most popular characters." I wonder if he meant that people will like using this mimic, or that it will actually be a returning character. Either way, I don't think we have enough to definitively say that, even if the mimic is a returning character, that Edge Master is far more popular than Charade or Olcadan. Popularity is relative, really; any one fan of any of the three characters could say that their personal favorite is more popular than the other two, even if that's only their perception due to allowing their own opinion to cloud their judgment. If we're going to mention the possibility of the mimic being a returning character at all, we should at least be fair and say it on the articles of all three characters, until we get any kind of confirmation otherwise. Teamrocketspy621 23:28, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

How about... The mimic character being Kilik? Because Daishi said "one of the most popular characters in the series", not "one of the most popular mimic characters in the series", did he? Plus, Kilik was trained by Edge Master... During 17 years I suppose he could have learned many fighting styles... I know Kilik is ill-fated", but it doesn't mean he actually died orso... He might "just" have lost Xianghua, etc etc... Well dunno, I'm just speculating. JefferyDante 09:25, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Haha...That's not a bad thought, and applies to the Soulcalibur Manga Comic nonetheless. But I do think it's fair that all three of the mimic characters get the speculation of their possible return (The reason I think it could be Edge Master is because he is connected to the most characters in the Soul Calibur universe.) And the prediction about Kilik...I guess anything is possible lol. EnemyLove 12:33, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Uh, I think treating any popular character as a possibility is a bit much. Sounds more like skirting around semantics to me, just because the word "mimic" wasn't used. If a mimic's returning, I'd place my bet on one of the three previous characters in that vein or someone entirely new, not someone who had a weapon and fighting style nailed down for the previous titles. Really, now, Kilik? XD Teamrocketspy621 21:12, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Beautiful guys, OK?

Hi there, Nice picture for Cervantes, Lizardman and Yoshimitsu!!!!

  • Can you playable as Cassandra, Yun-seong, Seong Mi-na, Setsuka, Talim and Zasalamel in Soul Calibur V.

We have two more months to go until game release, and only one more spot for a returning character, so...doesn't seem it. Which is actually kind of funny considering all of the fights earlier about how character X is TOTALLY going to be in the game. Veresordeo 05:49, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

Listen Namco: Weapon creation and Move creation

The character creation is still pointless and repetitive, we want weapon creation, and move creation so we can create our own character from scratch and weapons from scratch.

Keep Weapon Creation simplistic, why? Because it will be over 500 weapon schematics that we can use to make weapons from ores and enchantments, because we want it to happen. So please don't you dare make that mistake again.

And make sure to make Move creation simplistic to, so we can create our characters' moves and name your characters' moves whatever we want and we can input the commands by using our controllers. Also, you can make us create our Critical Edge moves so we can name it.

Please make this happen, Namco. So we can enjoy our creation ideas with our characters. -- MaxfireXSA 20:56 December 6 2011 (UTC)

Returning Characters

  • Cassandra
  • Amy

When you post something like this ALWAYS post a source, and I highly doubt any of those characters will return especially Berseker cause he is a Rock clone. RobZ92 06:54, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Algol & Edge Master

What do you guys think about the entry of Algol and Edge master? I personally think they're a bit of a waste. Edge Master might be a cool addition since he hasn't been in the game since SoulCalibur but might just be a mimic character which is very boring.

And Algol.... really? was it necessary for him to come back? He's design is cool and all but unless his gameplay improves drastically and somehow pulls off a decent story and ties with other characters it's a waste of character slot. Plus this means there won't be any more returning characters (since their 16 exceeding the half mark). Unless.... they're set as bonus character which i doubt but may happen. Anyhow i hope Algol won't be the boss of all the characters again like last time which would also be very, very, very boring.

Now that only 6 character slots remain (and all will probably be new ones) i'd like to see:

  • Talim's younger sister or daughter maybe... (Although i prefer the original Talim)
  • Yun-seong and Mina's daughter (who knows)
  • Daughter of Zasalamel (an African woman would be great)
  • Setsuka's daughter or disciple (like Natsu for Taki)
  • Bangoo
  • Tira's deceased master (the one from Bird of Passage)....

the sixth installament?

I thought it was the 8!!!! Soul Blade, Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur II, Soul Calibur III, Soul Calibur Legends, Soul Calibur IV, Soul Calibur Broken: Destiny and Soul Calibur V. It's The EIGHT!! :-P

Katsuihiro Harada as a bonus opponent and guest fighting style

Probably announced in a Tweet or something, but accordin' to Shoryuken.com, it's been confirmed that Harada himself will appear as a special opponent in the Quick Match mode and his style will be that of Devil Jin from Tekken who uses the Mishima Style that Heihachi uses. However, he also has access to beam projectile attacks and some moves will cause black wings to sprout from the back. It's also been announced that this style can be used for Character Creation as well and the same effects will apply to all creations using it but whether or not it has to be unlocked is unknown.

For those unfamiliar with Devil Jin.

Basically an evil version of Jin Kazama, Heihachi's grandson. It's him having succumbed fully to the Devil Gene which haunts all of the Mishima family with the strange exception of Heihachi himself who was the catalyst of the events of the entire series. Unlike the first known user, Kazuya, his father, his transformation seems halfway. He gets horns, markings, white eyes and a pair of huge feathered wings. Due to the events of the story, Jin had, after Tekken 3, abandoned the Mishima Style in favor of the Kazama Style which his mother, Jun, had used because he wanted to break all ties with his treacherous father and grandfather. In his Devil form however, he resumes use of the Mishima style. Since Kazuya had not transformed since Tekken Tag, Devil Jin was essentially Devil's replacement: using the Mishima Style with a flight stance and projectiles.

Roster Surprise

  • There is Algol and Edge Master was confirmed, Cassandra, Talim, Setsuka and Rock was confirmed in the announced.

SoulCaliburVRosterText

"Was confirmed in the announced?" I'm not sure I'm following your grammar, buddy, and I'm pretty sure Cassandra, Talim, Setsuka, and Rock aren't confirmed. I can't even see Cassandra, Rock, or Setsuka returning, to be honest. Maybe Setsuka's style, but that's it. Sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) and get a source on those "confirmations" you seem to want so badly. Teamrocketspy621 05:52, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Uh, yeah...this is the most obvious demonstration of photo editing. I don't even think I have to point out the differences in the illustrations. If this was an actual announcement you wouldn't post a photo like this, you'd put a source of that shit EVERYWHERE because you were so excited about it. Soulcalibur V will be what it is...stop trying to change the game status to your liking. EnemyLove 06:22, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry but I highly doubt Cassandra will return as a Playable Character, there will be 3 sword & shield characters, and the people at SC are trying to get rid of clones, and since both Pyrrha and Patroklos have some Cassandra's moves as well as some Sophitia's moves, I highly doubt both the Alexandra Sisters will return, maybe as characters in arcade or story mode with either Pyrrha's or Patroklo's fighting style, and for the same reason I doubt Rock (because he has a lot of moves similar or the same as Astaroth) and Talim (ZWEI has some of her moves) will return, maybe Setsuka, but I think that the remaining characters will be new because they were supposed to be half and half but as of right now there are 7 new characters, 1 guest character, and 16 returning characters, and also I'm pretty sure there are 6 characters left to reveal. RobZ92 06:46, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Cassandra is pretty much out since she has been shown as a CaS character in a SCV live broadcast video. Plus as stated above, why would they need 3 short and shield characters? There is virtually no way Rock is coming back, because he wasn't very popular and he would be quite old. Bangoo may replace him, if anything. As for Setsuka, Daishi hinted at keeping her style...not Setsuka herself, so we have no way of knowing if she will actually come back. I could see Talim coming back...but no Zasalamel? Being immortal with a unique fighting style, he is almost guaranteed. Kimchi1988 14:30, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Zasalamel isn't immortal, only his soul is. His body isn't.Suuusuuu 22:07, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Rock and Setsuka were deconfirmed, I believe? Though I would trust that no one would fall for this absolutely pathetic editing.

Well, regardless of how Zasalamel goes on into eternity, whether by reincarnation or straight-up immortality, they have no legitimate excuse to give as to why he wouldn't come back - he has a unique fighting style and an already-explained method of returning, looking no older, or even younger than he appeared in IV. I'd almost be disappointed if they didn't bring him back. I must say, I enjoy his style. :P Teamrocketspy621 23:40, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Returning Characters as NPC

Since it's really unlikely any other old character return as playable character, which character would you like to see return as a NPC? I would say the Alexandra Sisters and Setsuka. RobZ92 06:56, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Deconfirmed Characters

I may have missed a tweet or something, but when were Setsuka and Seong Mi-na deconfirmed? I heard Taki may have been confirmed un-playable during the latest stream, however, I'm still not certain. Anyone have a source or is this based off of common sense? EnemyLove 00:46, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

Setsuka Successor

Setsuka/Battojutso-style successor. At SCR, Daishi asked whether fans liked her or her style. He stated that those who like the style would be "plesantly surprised". [1] Later, an 8WayRun admin, IdleMind, confirmed this by stating: "So, no Setsuka but the style (or the essence of the style) will be kept." [2] In his profile, Mitsurugi was mentioned as running into a battojutso-wielding female who broke his previous sword, implying that the character will be female. Nothing else is known about the character, though. He/She is the spiritual successor of Setsuka.

About the woman mentioned in Mitsurugi's profile I'm pretty sure it's Setsuka, but just because her being mentioned in Mitsurugi's profile means she's coming back, beside Setsuka's whole purpose in the story was avenging her master's death (which means defeating or killing Mitsurugi). So Setsuka already reached her goal, and as much as it pains to me, she has no point in being in SCV. Which also means that's very likely non of my fav characters will be returning at least not as playabele: Sophitia, Cassandra, Setsuka and Talim (I think it's very likely the remaining 6 are new characters, but fingers crossed for Talim). RobZ92 08:09, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Daishi all but confirmed this at SCR. And IdleMind knows the full roster of the game. He's been hinting that the style is back, but then he just outright confirmed it. I see no reason why this shouldn't be on the page. IdleMind is not just a troll; like he said himself (paraphrasing because I'm a few pages ahead and don't remember which one exactly): 'Why can't I tell the truth and still be a troll?' EVen if he is trolling, he is still telling the truth, and he's only repeating what a game developer already stated. So, there is, IMO, enough evidence is warrent its inclusion on the wiki page. And if it's wrong, we'll know on the 19th when the final characters are announced, and then on the 31, when SCV actually comes out. A.J. two 05:00, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

I don't consider any of this evidence. While I am fully aware that there will be a style based on Setsuka's style from my own sources and common sense, I would like to avoid putting the information on the page because of the following reasons: there might be a significant change, like a change in weapon, the character might not be using the parasol anymore which is a huge design change and for many people it won't be "Setsuka" anymore. And also, the character doesn't even have a name so it doesn't look good and official on the page. It's like adding an information about an unnamed second mimic character to the confirmed characters section instead of simply mentioning the possibility of the character appearing. Suuusuuu 05:14, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
That's why I put it as the "spiritual successor", like Xiba is to Kilik [and Soeng-Mina]. Daishi and IdleMind said the style will be returning. That means that Battojutsu as a weapon form will be back. This does not mean that the character will wield a parasol like Setsuka. The character does not have to wield a parasol like Setsuka. Battojutsu is, IIRC, the art of concealed weaponry. That includes Setsuka's parasol, yes, but it also branches out into other things like Cane Swords and such. And if you already know about this character at least in style, then why not make a mentioned of it alongside the second mimic? If neither has enough to warrent an actual entry, then atleast put them both in the same place and acknowledge the information. A.J. two 05:19, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
If you have a link to anyone else than Idle saying that there will be a character like this - by this I mean an official statement, feel free to add it next to the mention of more than two mimic styles (which has a link to a video which confirms it). The only thing I have against adding this information is the lack of solid evidence. If we at least had a sketch or something of the character.. Suuusuuu 05:29, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
Is the fact that Daishi all-but confirmed this enough? I included the link to that particular info above, if you want to read it. IdleMind confirmed it because he was getting sick and tired of everybody saying Setsuka was gonna come back when she was already implied not to by a game developer. If that isn't reason enough, I don't have anything else to give. 05:34, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
If you don't understand why this is not enough evidence then I can't really help you. Linking to a forum where anyone can register and write whatever they want is hardly credible. Not saying this information isn't true, it just isn't credible. Suuusuuu 05:39, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
Okay. However, I have a question along those lines. "At NEC, Daishi and Utoh hinted that there will be more than one mimic character." And then it points to a post on 8WayRun where the info is stated. Now, how is the Battojutsu-styled character any different? He/She was hinted at by Daishi at SCR, and there is a link to a poast on 8WayRun where the info is stated. If that's enough to mention the second mimic character, then the Battojutsu user should be mentioned as well, seeing as the two are almost identical in terms of how the info is distributed. The only difference is that IdleMind, who knows the roster, confirmed the attojutsu, while nobody has said anything since about the second mimic. Also, curious: you say you have sources? If one of those is a website or something, then why not post a link to that? A.J. two 05:44, January 4, 2012 (UTC)
I didn't add the information about the mimics, I thought it linked to something else... My bad but I can't check everything. I will look into the matter when I have time. As for my own sources, I can't add that information because it isn't official. Suuusuuu 07:12, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

Second Mimic

Hey, wasn't it said there would be two mimic characters in SCV? If so, I'm almost certain that second mimic is a Patroklos. Setsuka's style doesn't suit him very well and he just using her style alone doesn't make any sense (I'm almost certain Pat has no connection to Setsuka) Anyone else agree? EnemyLove 02:46, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

No, there are two other, separate mimic characters (apparently, one for male styles and one for female...). Patroklos is the high execution Setsuka replacement and there is also a new version of Pyrrha, which is also a separate character. Suuusuuu 02:51, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
For me 1 mimic is enough, I would have prefere 2 completely new characters with new styles instead of the other 2 mimics RobZ92 18:26, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

RobZ92 02:11, January 21, 2012 (UTC)
Likewise, Elysium mimics all female characters. I don't believe it was ever confirmed (until now) that there were more than one mimic, just that the developers hinting that there would be more than one. I like the fact that Elysium and Kilik aren't full-fledged mimics, though, instead mimicking only females, and males, respectively, so people can actually create mimics who mimic all styles, just males, or just females. I'm pretty sure that the three mimics can be used in character creation; it was only confirmed that Algol and Ezio cannot be used. 98.125.57.93 02:54, January 21, 2012 (UTC)

Alpha? Uhhh...

As much I like Patroklos, but "Alpha Patroklos" seems like a big waste of character space in V. Does this mean we're gonna have an "Omega Pyrrha"? Gee, I thought Algol was waste but I guess I was wrong since people seem to like him to come back in V. It wouldn't be a waste if we had 40 character spaces like they did in Tekken. Not to be nikpicking but didn't DOA made a Alpha character? Only got 13 days left until the game comes out, people, Namco will expain this. What are ya'll thoughts about this?

This is me again about Alpha Patroklos: I KNEW IT! I just guess random about "Omega Pyrrha". Just a few Hour ago, I just wanna express my option about Alpha Patroklos and joking about "Omega Pyrrha", and then BAM I see her profile the next day.

I agree. I think their making a lot of bad decisions for this game. I understand that it's a new game and a new generation, but their basically yanking the basics of Soul Calibur from it. As far as Alpha Patroklos goes, I think it's not very logical if he's going to be Setsuka's replacement. I know, I may be judging a bit early, but I just don't see that turning out well. Next thing we know, Pyrrha gonna be using Zasalamel's style. EnemyLove 10:45, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Sophitia's Role in SCV

2j5jehk2

?

So by this photo (It clearly isnt Pyrrha) and this trailer it's safe to assume Sophitia will return in SCV, but what will her role be? Did she become a goddess? Or is it an illusion created by Soul Edge? Will she be playable? A boss? Sub-Boss? NPC?

My opinion is that she's an illusion, maybe Soul Edge's way of controlling Pyrrha, and that she will just be a NPC, not a Boss or a Playable Character.

What's your opinion?

Hey guys. It seems, from what I have seen, the Soul Wiki is getting tricked. Recently announced was the additon of Kilik and Esylium, both to be random moveset characters. There is also the addition of an alternate form of Patroklos and Pyrrah. He uses Setsuka's movest while Pyrrah remains the same but wields Soul Edge. I am calling fake on this. Here are my reasons.

1. 3 Random Moveset Characters? Kilik, Elysium and Edge Master? Why? Would the creators really do that? I don't think so.

2. Omega Pyrrah has the same moveset as the original but simply wields Soul Edge and has a darker costume. O wait, I can do that through weapon select and colour change in Character Creation. So I could just make a custom character to be the exact same of an alternate character that wasted a spot on the roster? Pointless.

3. These characters were added on the character select screen without Algol or Dampierre on there. So why would namco have a character select screen showing newer characters, and not characters already previously confirmed? I believe it is a sign of a photoshopped character select screen using an older character select screen screenshot.

4. Setsuka Patroklos looks "unfinished." I would even say it looks stupid. Even though there was a video of him I believe it was perhaps a sign that someone would use Setsuka's moveset but Patroklos was used as a dummy model in an early beta version.

5. There have been other sites which stated that the person who originally took the screenshots admitted he photoshopped them. Not to mention that there is no OFFICIAL artwork from these characters as of yet and nothing on the official soulcalibur website.

So I believe we still have 4 characters yet to be revealed. At least I hope that my assumptions that this is fake are true. What do you guys think?

Omega Pyrrha's moveset is different from the original one. Suuusuuu 18:12, January 19, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry for doing this without an account, but I had to comment on it. There's no confirmation that Kilik is a mimic character, and I don't know why anyone would say this. This information... I don't see how it can possibly be fake, its just that people are mistakingly proclaiming things that aren't true, such as there being three mimicks.
It seems more likely that Kilik would use his original moveset (It even still looks like he's wielding his normal staff in the picture, and Xiba's moveset is NOT identical to Kilik's) and Elysium is the second mimick (its long-been confirmed that there would be two mimicks). Dampierre and Algol, well, Dampierre is DLC, so he won't always appear and Algol is likely the final character unlocked, sitting right next to Edge Master, so it would make sense. As for Omega Pyrrha, as Suuusuuu said, she has a new moveset, which makes more sense especially since Alpha Patroklos has an entirely new moveset as well.
It appears that the final row was reserved for bosses, hence why they didn't appear until now, and why the list appears rather odd (two alternate characters, Sophitia look-a-like, etc). I find it highly likely that we may have bonus characters that use alternate movesets, they just don't appear on the character select screen because they're not main story characters. 98.125.57.93 18:23, January 19, 2012 (UTC)

Half old, half new

To those who still doubt the equal repartition of old and new characters, keep in mind that a character could be considered new when their fighting style has been considerably revamped, by adding as second weapon for example.

So here's a table to show you the repartition of the characters in SCV, new ones to the left, old ones to the right:

Patroklos

Raphael

Alpha Patroklos

Siegfried

ZWEI

Hilde

Leixia

Ivy

Natsu

Tira

Viola

Mitsurugi

Pyrrha

Maxi

Pyrrha Omega

Astaroth

Xiba

Nightmare

Elysium

Voldo

Ezio

Edge Master

Yoshimitsu

Dampierre

Lizardman

Algol

Kilik

Cervantes

Yeah, this is true... but a dick move from project soul nonetheless. Suuusuuu 09:59, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
I agree... But well, we can still spam Daishi for a patch xD However, I must play as Aeon to convince myself about his legitimity as a "new" or "old" character... And Yoshimitsu is still the same to me, I must admit xD Well, let's pray for some patches and DLC :D JefferyDante 10:16, January 26, 2012 (UTC)
If you instead take into account if a character literally is a new character, even if they have the same playstyle, replace Kilik and Lizardman with Nightmare and Astaroth. Nightmare and Astaroth are both "new" versions of them, like how Yoshimitsu is not the original Yoshimitsu but a successor. So, yeah, in the end, we do have half new characters either way. Its annoying that two of the new characters are mimics and two are dopplegangers, but at least the dopplegangers have new playstyles and the mimics aren't identical to one another... 173.202.206.239 08:13, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Soul Calibur V to Soulcalibur V

According to Daishi Odashima in his twitter, the games are written as soulcalibur but the sword itself is written as Soul Calibur https://twitter.com/#!/Daishi_CALIBUR/status/86321765780959232 Can anyone of the administrators rename all the games's articles with the soulcalibur in their names? Thanks Dragon NJMB 07:17, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

28 Characters!

If you don't count Katsuhiro Harada as an official character since he's a bonus pretty much to give the Soul of Devil Jin some sense there are only 28 characters officialy confirmed: Siegfried, Nightmare, Mitsurugi, Ivy, Maxi, Hilde, Tira, Voldo, Astaroth, Raphael, Dampierre, Cervantes, Aeon, Yoshimitsu, Algol, Edge Master, Kilik, Patroklos, Pyrrha, Natsu, Z.W.E.I., Leixia, Viola, Xiba, α Patroklos, Pyrrha Ω, Elysium, and Ezio.

There are 28 characters and there were supposed to be 30 in total. My thoughts are that the blue block in the middle of the selection screen that occupies exactly 2 slots might become the 2 missing characters. ~ Samoyeds7 It's called over-eating "LOOK INTO IT" 22:06, January 29, 2012 (UTC)
