Speculation[]

It is possible that he is the Evil Side of the King from the Prehistory

The Wiki article says that a recent interview revealed Algol as a playable character, however the interview referenced mentions nothing of the sort. Perhaps the statement should be revised?

I thought that's what he meant by "I want people to have fun by his buzzard actions", maybe I should change it to it is implied

A recent character selection screen shows him as a selectable character, so it's not an issue anymore. :)

Cheers, you got a copy of that?

News[]

Lots of new stuff added!

Appearance BS[]

Why doesn't he appear for Siegfried, Nightmare or Ivy? DiSlOcAtOr ChRiS 05:51, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

For Siegfried and Nightmare[]

Well, for Siegfried and Nightmare, he doesn't appear for them cuz, well, they fight eachother. You know, battle of epic poportions. Not entirely sure about Ivy though. (Unsigned by another user).

I think Ivy fights Nightmare because she used to be on his side (in Soul Calibur) but turned good. Although why Namco couldn't create a Destined battle between Ivy and Nightmare and then have her fight Algol is beyond me... MJNSEIFER

How does he fight?[]

If neither Olcadan, Charade or Edge Master appears in SCIV, than who's the randome charcter? The guy who randomly selects another character's weapon and move set? I thought it would be Algol (since he wields 10 different weapons) but it says different. So who is it?--Maverick King 21:30, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

There isn't one, which is a shame cause I alwways thought those characters were cool. And yeah, Algol fights with ten different weapons (apparantly, if someone could point out what those ten are I would appreciate it :D), but he uses each of them in different attacks. Fpunzi 21:44, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

I never really cared for mimicry characters in fighting games(with the exception of Dural from the Virtua Fighter series). I always find them boring and generic.:P--SarahPaiFan 16:54, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Fpunzi, here they are: Soul swords (2) + Hand blades (2) + Guns (2) + Stormach claw + Wings + Feet blades (2).

Possible Trivia Addition?[]

I went back and played SC2's Weapon Master Mode for the heck of it and checked out Algol. Well, it turns out, that's the chapter in the storyline when you take Soul Calibur (Evil) to be purified by some old man. Well, I just thought it was kinda coincidental (or planned) that Algol's story involved the purification of Soul Calibur, and the chapter in the area of Algol involves purifying a re-contaminated Soul Calibur. Think this should be added to the Trivia? Aerandir 20:44, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd add it if I where you. MJNSEIFER

I beat him[]

he is incredibly EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hes crap

Someone who can give hom clothes?[]

Really! Is like to see and old man appear in boxer! xP xD

-Actually, he's almost modest compared to Taki, so I think he's fine. :)

Dude sounds like Galactus.[]

This could possibly be something someone was trying to put in the MvC3 wiki but accidentally put it here but apparently under the SC5 quotes for him he says:

"I am not without mercy, you may serve as my herald."

This is exactly one of Galactus' victory quotes in MvC3.

I don't think it's actually one of Algol's quotes. It's been around for a while without a source. I still haven't seen any gameplay of Algol that would confirm it if it was, and if it's a quote of Galactus, I'm putting my money on it having been an edit of false information. In Soul Calibur V[]

Is his fighting style available for creation characters in SoulCalibur V? or is it like IV and he's unavailable. I haven't unlocked him yet, so I want to know 69.29.133.12 17:30, February 8, 2012 (UTC)

It's unavailable like Ezio. Suuusuuu 18:06, February 8, 2012 (UTC)

Unlocking Algol[]

I've been playing SC V for sometime now and i've unlocked Algol. I've heard that you can unlock him by defeating him on Legendary Souls but I unlocked him by reaching Level 31. Anyone else get the same situation?

--Xhodocto3546 {{SUBST:User:Xhodocto3546/Sig}}

As far as we know, there are 3 ways to unlock him: beat him in Legendary Souls, reach level 31 or beat him in Quick battle. JefferyDante 16:29, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
You can also unlock him in Arcade at least i did i used route: standard or extra

Still Banned?[]

Is Algol still banned in 5? to me it feels like he got the Akuma treatment with his health, but i cant conferm this. SamusTheHedgehog 19:29, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

In response to this, he is not. But the use of Algol is undermined, as most people tend to rage quit against an "Algolian".

Hope it clarifies.

In New Soul Game[]

Wonder what Algol's role for the new soul game might be? also its kind of a Bad Idea for a Warrior to fight with no Armor for Armor has more of a use for battle Femto Von Godhand (talk) 00:50, September 25, 2014 (UTC)

"Second most powerful character"[]

"Due to possessing copies of the Soul swords, and having control of the Astral Chaos realm, Algol is the second most powerful of all Soulcalibur characters."
The "Abilities" section

Then who is the most powerful? ~Hyper Zergling 18:05, July 15, 2015 (UTC)

Night Terror, since its New Legends of Project Soul bio states that Night Terror is so powerful that even Algol  doesn't dare mess with it. Arawn 999 (talk) 20:39, July 15, 2015 (UTC)
Xianghua, obviously... :v Jayking116 (talk) 21:01, July 15, 2015 (UTC)
