|Weapon Type||Longsword and Pistol Sword|
Soul Edge & Nirvana is Cervantes' default weapons in Soul Calibur II and Soul Calibur III.
Soul Calibur II
Most familiar and well-balanced weapon for him.
Offense: 100% Defense: 100%
Description: The fragments of Soul Edge inside Cervantes' body acted through his sword to consume souls and eventually took on the form of a new sword. Nirvana has a pistol built into it and is an extremely unusual weapon. They are balanced weapons but pale in power compared to the real cursed sword itself.
A pistol sword once wielded by Cervantes. It probably originates from Cervantes' pirate days. He left it, alongside Acheron, since their power paled in comparison to Soul Edge, but recovered both weapons from his flagship, the Adrian, once he lost the wicked sword. Nirvana is an unusual weapon with a gun in its hilt, which Cervantes can use to break a deadlock (as demonstrated in one of his counters) by shooting his opponent with it. In Soulcalibur III, he can use the pistol to shoot enemies both in the air and on the ground, with devastating effects.
Soul Edge Male and Female The legendary swords. They take the souls of its victims and the life of its wielders, forcing them to commit unspeakable crimes. Only those with great mental discipline can retain their will while wielding these swords. They mysteriously appeared as a set in an auction. Cervantes took the swords from the curio dealer who bought them, and used them for 25 years. They were labeled Soul Edge Female (the smaller blade) and Soul Edge Male (the bigger blade). The sacred warrior Sophitia shattered the smaller blade, while the bigger blade, taken by Siegfried Schtauffen, who was transformed into Nightmare, was fused with Soul Calibur in Soulcalibur II, but as of Soulcalibur III, is again being wielded by Nightmare in the shape of a Zweihänder, though this Nightmare is Inferno, not Siegfried.
Soul Edge Female (Fragments)After collecting various fragments of the shattered Soul Edge, Cervantes was able to meld them together and create a new Soul Edge with them. The fragments inside himself sustain his power and prevent him from being controlled by the wicked sword. It's an excellent weapon, but it pales in comparison with Soul Edge's real power. This smaller blade has apparently been reintegrated into the larger main sword.
