The Razor Sword is a sword wielded by Link, forged by the blacksmith from the Mountain Village on Snowhead. The blacksmith is famous for his perfectionism - this sword is an excellent example of his craftsmanship and boasts an amazingly sharp cutting edge. Unfortunately, the metal used to forge this blade is prone to chipping, so there remains some concern about its defensive capabilities.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
First appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, the blade could be purchased from the Snowhead Mountain blacksmiths for a somewhat reasonable price. Though it boasts improved attack power and range, the sword's use was limited. After one hundred strikes, the blade would break off, destroying its range and power drastically, eliminating its use entirely and reverting to the starting weapon, the Kokiri Sword. The Razor Sword could later be replaced by the chip-free Gilded Sword, which bore a slight resemblance to the Master Sword.

In Soulcalibur II, the Razor Sword appears somewhat larger than its incarnation in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, due to Link's adult status. It has a shorter range than the Master Sword, but it has increased attack power. Also, due to the sword being prone to chipping, it has penetrable defense.
