There is no reliable source for this information, and producer Hiroaki Yotoriyama had stated in a brief interview with the Production Manager, Akiko "Watcher TAN" Tange, that they "decided not to have any guest characters" for Soulcalibur III[3], and later went on to deny the rumours in an interview for Electronic Gaming Monthly.[4]
  • Bayonetta from SEGA's Bayonetta series was considered for Soulcalibur V, but according to Producer Hisaharu Tago, she was scrapped because her hair attacks were too elaborate to include.[5] This is prior to her home series being co-owned with Nintendo.
