Hard Practice (荒稽古) is Mitsurugi's joke weapon in Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, and Soulcalibur V.
Some Soulcalibur fans don't really consider Hard Practice as a joke weapon due to the fact the joke weapon is actually a shinai, a kendo practice sword. However, it is the only weapon Mitsurugi uses in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur V that isn't made of metal.
Soulcalibur IV[]
It can be bought in Character Creation for 11,800 Gold after completing Story Mode with Mitsurugi. Unlike most joke weapons in Soulcalibur IV, this one does not have a native skill.
Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny[]
It, alongside Oniyukiyasu, is one of the two unlockable weapons Mitsurugi has in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. It can be unlocked by either obtaining 10 Honors or by using up all slots in Creation Mode.
Soulcalibur V[]
Like all joke weapons in this game, it is unlocked by reaching level 53.
