Armos Series ( アモスシリーズ?) refers to a sword and shield that Link uses in Soulcalibur II.

Soulcalibur II[]

"Offense increases with SC but lacks defense."
— Description

The Armos Series is taken from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The set consists of a worn out rock-like shield and a sword. While the shield closely resembles the one used by the Armos, the sword only slightly resembles the original; The blade is much longer with a pommel and has a carved Armos head on the guard, comparable in size to the Master Sword. While it has poor defense of 70%, the weapon's offensive capabilities greatly increase to 140% with the use of Soul Charge.

Profile:[]

A sword and shield from one of the living Armos statues that dot the land of Hyrule. The origins of these items are shrouded in mystery, much like the Armos themselves. Concentrating one's will increases the weapons' power, but they are a bit too heavy for Link and he cannot use them effectively for guarding.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]

The Armos Series belongs to a race of monsters known throughout the Zelda series as Armos, living statues that spring to life if antagonized. Though equipped with a small sword and shield, such arms are unused; Instead, they hop their way towards Link in an attempt to ram him. If defeated, the Armos will pulsate a red color and hop wildly until they explode. The set of weapons held in the Armos statues were never actually used by Link himself in the game.

Trivia[]

  • The Armos enemies in The Legend of Zelda franchise are statues of warriors that are often seen amongst dungeons. When approached, they often attack by bouncing around or with their weapons. Some of these statues are purely such and can be pushed or pulled by Link to solve puzzles.
  • Despite being a selectable weapon for Link in Soulcalibur II, the Armos' weapons are never actually obtained in the The Legend of Zelda series, thus making it unique to this game, similar to Link's version of Soul Edge (Complete).
