Trivia[]

  • Originally, Deathstroke was not suppossed to be included in the game, instead, the team decided to put Marvel comics characters Deadpool or Wolverine, but they couldn't adquire the rights for them. Also, The Arbiter (Thel 'Vadam) from Halo series was intended to be an exclusive character for both the XBOX 360 and XBOX ONE versions, but for unknown reasons, he was scrapped.
  • Some characters in the game have three costumes, while others possess two.
  • At first, Gium Barium wasn't suppossed to be Nightmare, instead, it was thought of Belphegor or even Felicia.
  • In difference to other characters, Deathstroke can use a variety of modern weapons, from swords and sticks to guns & bombs.
  • This is the first game to introduce the "Handicap" battle mode.
  • The Devil's character was not fully planned to appear in the game. The creators wanted to place Night Terror, but they thought that various Soul characters were already on it.
  • Slender Man's introduction was because of a legend. During an intreview the creators were asked about new characters, to which one of them replied; "You're going to see a lot of surprises and new additions, some of them, totally unexpected, such as hum..Slender Man [laughs]" This rumor was believed by many players and even suppossed pictures started to appear, showing Slender Man as a character. It spread and finally on October of that year, the Slender Man was released as  DLC character.
  • Astral Chaos: Pathway is the arena that possess more music themes, due to the huge amount of guest characters.
