About Kilina[]

Kilina is the younger sister to Kisandra, Mother to Millicent and aunt to Klymene. At a young age Kilina and her sister were left on the streets to die by their parents. They were found by a soldier from the Kingdom of Grandall, taken to the castle, and raised there as Warriors. Years later, in 1590, Kilina along with her sister left the Kingdom of Grandall mid-battle in order to peruse their own destinies. Kilina went to peruse Soul Edge. She was successful but became malfested. She slayed her own sister and sustained an injury to her left eye that became tainted with Soul Edge. Kilina was cured of her malfestation by her sister the moment she killed her.

Years later, Kilina raised and trained her niece Klymene to fight. In 1607, Kilina once again went on a journey to peruse Soul Edge. She found it, but was unsuccessful in retrieving it. The sword disappeared into Astral Chaos along with her niece. Kilina later went searching for her niece. To her surprise Kilina found her sister Kisandra, alive. Kilina travelled through time back to 1590 to try and stop Astral Chaos merging with Earth. With help from her sister, and niece who returned from Astral Chaos they were successful.

Trivia[]

  • Kilina's costume in Soulcalibur V was originally supposed to be more like her appearance in Soulcalibur IV but was changed to show that she has aged and matured.
  • Kilina taught herself her sisters move set during the 17 year gap, but did keep some of her own moves and learnt a few new ones.
    • She did this in honor of her sister and also to teach Klymene her mothers style. Although Klymene is weary in battle and thus fights slightly differently, also with some unique moves.
    • Kilina wears Armor in her 2P outfit in Soulcalibur V in honor of her sister who used to wear Armor in her 2P outfits in the past.
  • Kilina originally had a 3rd sister who was evil. This would have changed the entire story as Kilina would never get a scar and Kisandra would still be alive. However this was scrapped.
    • The story was changed many times after her sister was scrapped. Kilina's niece, Klymene was never included in any story and was added last minute when Kisandra's fate was decided. Thus taking Kisandra's place on the Soulcalibur V roster.
  • Kilina's story in Soulcalibur V was supposed to end differently, she was supposed to get Soul Edge and become malfested once again. Meaning in the next game she would be Kilina omega depending on the timeline.
  • Kilina's 2P in Astral Swords is the same as her 2P in Soulcalibur V except it is in her 1P colours from Soulcalibur V.
    • There is also slight modifications to the outfit like no cape, the addition of her neck tie from Soulcalibur V, and different arm wear.
  • Kilina is to appear in an upcoming game called Soulcalibur: Rise of Omega - Back in Time created by SoulGauger.
  • Kilina was thought to be dead at the end of Soulcalibur Astral Swords - A New Light, however in Soulcalibur: The Spirit Lineage Kilina is shown to be alive but still malfested as Kilina Ω.
    • This is the first game since Kilina Ω's introduction that she and Kilina have not appeared in a game together. As usually Kilina overcomes her malfestation and turns back to her regular self. Thus giving her regular self and malfested self an appearance in the same game.
    • Soulcalibur: The Spirit Lineage is created by LightningSakura.
  • Ali Hillis is Kilina's most frequent voice actor as she has voiced her in four games, since Soulcalibur V.
    • She was voiced by different people in Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV.
    • Although her voice still sounds similar in each game, as her voice actors were told to try and mimic her original voice.
