The Bug-Catching Net as it appears in Soulcalibur II
|Weapon type||Joke weapon|
|For sale in||Subchapter 2|
- "Looks like there are no fairies in this world."
- — Weapon Gallery description.
A long-handled net used for catching bugs from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This item is an old companion of Link's and has appeared on many of his adventures - it accompanies him on this adventure as well. Obviously, it is not a weapon, but perhaps it will cause opponents to let down their guard.
This weapon has very poor offense and defense, but this is custom for the joke weapons. When hitting an enemy with it, the net makes a "cluck!" sound.
- Interestingly, the Bug-Catching Net can be used as a weapon in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past as well, most notably to deflect the lightning spheres thrown by the boss Agahnim.
- The Bug-Catching Net is also an item in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (in which it is referred to as the Bug Net), and can be used to distract the final boss, Demise, or reflect blasts of lightning back at him. It can even be upgraded to the Big Bug Net.
