Lizardman
Aeon Calcos

Aeon Calcos (アイオーン・カルコス Aiōn Karukosu?) Greek (Αίών Καλκος), sometimes known as Lizardman (リザードマン Rizādoman?), is a character designed for the Soul series of fighting games. He made his first appearance in Soulcalibur and has returned for Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny and Soulcalibur V. He appears in Soulcalibur VI as an non-playable supporting character, referred to as "Lizardman Chief". Over the course of the series, his weapons of choice have been changed multiple times. In Soulcalibur he wielded a short sword and a shield, in Soulcalibur III and IV a hand axe and a shield, to finally wielding dual hand axes in Soulcalibur V.

What lies in his soul is Resentment.

In Soulcalibur V's promotional material he is referred as Creature of Sin.

Another Lizardman, who was not Aeon Calcos, appeared in North American and European console ports of Soulcalibur II.

Appearance[]

In his first appearance, Aeon had taken on the form of a humanoid lizard-like creature with yellow scales and red and black highlights. His only clothing was an armored breastplate, arm bands and shin guards. Upon returning in Soulcalibur III, his appearance transformed drastically, resembling an iguana-like creature with feathers growing out of various parts of his body, including his tail bangs of hair on the sides of his head and his scales have changed to a cyan color. He had long since discarded his Greek armor in favor of war-oriented gear. By this time, while he had retained his general fighting style, he replaced his holy weapons with another shield and an axe.

In Soulcalibur IV, he changes again to resemble something like a frilled-neck lizard with fins growing out of his legs, spine and tail areas and his scales have changed into a combination of beige and purple. Upon his return in Soulcalibur V, he turns into a form similar to the one in Soulcalibur III, but gains a drastic change in the form of a pair fully grown and functional wings to complete a more raptor/bird like appearance. However, due to the added fact that he is now referred to by his real name may indicate much more than a physical transformation.

Aeon appears in Soulcalibur VI as a non-playable supporting character in Astaroth's Chronicle of Soul, where he's referred to as the Lizardman Chief. His appearance resembles that of his original Soulcalibur depiction, once again wielding a sword and shield, but with orange-brown scales and small horns on the sides of his head.

Biography (Original Timeline)[]

Soulcalibur[]

The Spartan soldier, Aeon Calcos, like Sophitia, was one of the twenty-four warriors to receive an oracle from the god Hephaestus to destroy Soul Edge–one for every letter of the Greek alphabet. Armed with the holy Xi Sword & Game Shield forged for him, he set off on his journey. However, he became lost in a vast desert and eventually collapsed. A group of kindly desert travelers rescued a dehydrated Aeon and brought him to their village, and he was about to repay them by teaching them swordplay. He was unable to exchange their kindness, however, as the Evil Seed rained down and temporarily changed Aeon into a mindless killer, causing him to slaughter everyone in the village.

Kunpaetku, the grand priest of the cult order Fygul Cestemus, eventually heard stories of him and captured Calcos so that he may be used as a human guinea pig in a diabolical experiment, causing him to transform into a lizard —the first of many lizardmen to come. Calcos was ordered to bring Rock's adopted son, Bangoo, so that his soul could be stolen. The creature was eventually tracked down and defeated by Rock for the kidnapping, while aiding Astaroth in pursuing Soul Edge.

Soulcalibur III[]

Soul Edge was struck down moments later, the energy emitted from Soul Calibur releasing Lizardman from his brainwashed state —although he remained in his transformed body. At first, he was not certain about his true self, but his sacred weapons reassured him, that he was once human. Initially, he wished to return to his home and family, but he realized that they will not recognize him in that state. Hidden from the world, Lizardman set out on a journey to restore his human form, but with time passing with no signs of cure, he fell into despair. As a last resort, he visited the temple where he was transformed in hope of finding a cure, but found only ruins. With his last glimmer of hope gone, he wondered angrily why Hephaestus had not helped him in his time of need. "My god has forsaken me," he thought, before casting away the sword and shield he was given, and, bearing a new shield and a war axe, decided to find Soul Edge and destroy the god of forgery with the very weapon he feared most. This would be his new resolve and the ultimate revenge.

Soulcalibur IV[]

Overtime, Lizardman slowly, but gradually, lost his human feelings and memories, until finally, even his own heart had become one that belonged to a monster. Before he knew it, other lizardmen surrounded him, and with his superior strength and battle technique he dominated the group. Soon, he became their leader, leading them on violent rampages.

But at night, he would have dreams revisiting the feelings and memories of being human. He didn't even know what he was anymore. All he felt was emptiness. Suddenly, he realized that he was missing his soul. As he wondered of what has become of it, another memory struck him. His soul was inside Soul Edge. He now searches for the evil sword to obtain his lost soul.

Soulcalibur V[]

"Why? he pleaded. "Why has my god forsaken me in my time of need?!"

In despair at the loss of his humanity, Aeon eventually surrendered to his beastly instincts: He walked on all fours and devoured anyone —or anything— that crossed his path.

Many years passed, until one day Aeon heard an inhuman voice speaking to him inside a cave.

"Devour all, and your wish shall surely come true."

From that moment on, the beast-man gained the power to inherit the nature of those he consumed. Each time he tasted the blood of new prey, his body and soul were transformed.

Gradually he regained the power of reason. Aeon searched the faint remnants of his memory...

"How can I regain that which I have lost?" he wondered.

But he knew the answer: He must feed on new victims. He must consume the flesh of holy warriors...

Profile[]

Soulcalibur[]

Aeon Calcos was a warrior who received an oracle from Hephaestus, the ancient god of smiths, to destroy the demonic blade. Thus, he wandered the world in search of Soul Edge to fulfill his destiny.

One day, desert travelers rescued Aeon from certain death in the desert and brough him back to their oasis village. However, before he could repay their kindness, the Evil Seed rained down and transformed him into a bloodthirsty berserker that massacred everyone in the village.

The stories of a berserker in the desert reached the ears of the grand priest Kunpaetku of the dark order Fygul Cestemus. Aeon was captured by the dark order and became a human subject in a diabolical experiment. The experiment caused an unspeakable transformation in Aeon...

"Find the demon sword Soul Edge!"

To the newly spawned slave of the grand priest, these words were absolute.

Chapter XIII: Jasper Scales of Shudder[1]
In his worries over the "Man Made Demon" Soul Edge, Hephaestus gave many mortals sacred oracles and ordered the destruction of the blade. He appointed a total of twenty-four mortals in order of the Greek alphabet. Each of their origins were unique, from the captain of the royal knights to the daughter of a baker, yet each of their spirits were the same. Each was pious with all their soul and could hear the voices of the gods.

Among the chosen few was a man named Aeon Calcos. Born in Sparta under the occupation of the Ottoman Empire he was a powerful knight gifted in the art of swordplay. Once he received the holy oracle he wandered the earth in search of the "Man Made Demon" Soul Edge.

One day he was wondering a vast desert of death. His sight was fading and the harsh sands parched his mouth. "My lord, my guardian, the God of War, why do you abandon me?"

In the sandstorm he lost his sight as his remaining senses began to fade...

When he had recovered his consciousness he found himself lying on a bed in a dim room. He then learned that a village man of an oasis found him buried in the sands and saved him from death. Since the village was frequently ravaged by burglars he chose to repay their kindness by teaching them the art of swordplay. However, only a week had passed and the village was attacked by the Evil Seed before he could repay their kindness. The Evil Seed covered the oasis in a sphere of light and showered pure evil onto the village!

Months had passed and a caravan crossing the desert carried a rumor of an oasis drenched in blood and a beserker raining terror. In fact, since the mysterious night of lights, many a caravan had been lost in the desert. The rumor spread throughout the desert and eventually reached the ears of the Grand Priest, Kyumm mrl py eltzk "the Guardian of the Normal Stream" (Py glkks estes mnz), whose shine lay deeply hidden within the earth.

The Grand Priest had plans for the berserker. Soon after losing his soul to the Evil Seed, Aeon the berserker was captured and brought before the Grand Priest. The Grand Priest saw that even despite being bound to a huge boulder with several thick chains the beserker still violently resisted. "Splendid Material... this will be a royal subject once the synthetic experiment is a success."

Days of madness had passed and once the ritual was completed Aeon was born anew. His limbs were given newfound power, his body was covered with scales, a reptile's tail hung behind him, and the head of a lizard rested on his shoulders. The madness swept away his memories, but his body remembered how to fight. The Grand Priest was pleased with the results and decided to "educate" him thoroughly. And thus Aeon the sacred fighter was transformed into a strong and loyal slave of the Grand Priest.

When the time came, the Grand Priest ordered Lizardman to search for the demon sword. And so his three years of living in the shadows came to an end with his appearance at the port of India. How could one hope to find the affection and nobility which lay within his soul since it was masked by his present eyes of emptiness...

Soulcalibur III[]

When he awoke, there was no way for him to know what had happened. All he remembered was the feeling of suddenly being pulled up from the dark abyss.

The waves emitted by Soul Calibur when it struck the cursed sword had shaken his consciousness.

The first thing he saw when he awoke was his own figure, transformed into that of a monster.

In his fragmented memory, he recalled serving a grand priest in a dark temple, and he had taken countless lives.

Aeon Calcos set out to find a way to become human again, while keeping hidden his monstrous form. He could not even meet his family with this body.

"Lord, the fate you have bestowed upon me is too cruel." He did not yet realize the faint doubt that had sprouted in his heart.

As time passed and still he found no solution, he finally decided to seek clues in the one place he had avoided, the evil temple. However, someone had destroyed the temple.

With his only glimmer of hope extinguished, something important crumbled within him. Doubt spread through his heart.

Why did his god remain silent during his plight? Even to his god, he was now nothing more than a cursed monster!

The sword and shield his god had given him had served to steady his heart, but he now cast them aside and turned his despair into anger toward the god.

He would cut down his god with the weapon that even his god had feared: Soul Edge. This would be the ultimate revenge. He no longer felt any fear toward the idea of becoming a cold-blooded beast.

"Where there is much light, the shadows are deepest."
-"Gotz von Berlichingen," Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

He had woken, but he had no way of knowing what had happened. All he remembered was the feeling of being suddenly pulled up from the dark abyss.
During the finale of the terrible battle that had taken place at Ostrheinsburg Castle--when the spirit sword Soul Calibur had struck the cursed sword Soul Edge--the waves unleashed by the spirit sword had shaken his consciousness from its long slumber.
The first thing he had seen upon awakening was his own figure, transformed into that of a monster. Fragmented images that might have been either real or imaginary rose up from his memory. In his nightmares, he served a grand priest who hid in a dark temple, and he had taken countless innocent lives.
"No! I am a human being!" he screamed inside his mind.
As if to destroy that thought, an inhuman growl escaped his grotesque mouth. His memory was in chaos. He was living a nightmare from which he could not wake. Terrifying reality assaulted him. Was his memory of being human actually a dream? The sword and shield in his hands saved him from this horrible thought. That was definite proof that he had once been human.
"I am Aeon Calcos. I was entrusted with my duty by Hephaestus, the god of the forge. I am the disciple of a god!"
Seeking a way to restore his cursed body to its original form, he set out on a journey, keeping hidden his monstrous, scale-covered form. He returned to his homeland only once. When he reached it, he realized that he was no longer the person for whom his family was anxiously waiting. Just what did he plan to say to them with his grotesque mouth, when he appeared before them with his terrible body? He fell into despair.
"The fate you have bestowed upon me is too cruel." He cursed. As he turned his face to the heavens, even he himself did not realize that a faint doubt had been born in his heart.
He continued his journey for a long time, but he could not find a way to return himself to his original form. It might be that the answer could only be found in one place. He thought about this as he considered giving up. This whole time, there was a place he had chosen to avoid. It was the evil temple that fueled his nightmares.
That place was a dungeon to him. If he returned, he might have his soul stolen once again and be reduced to nothing more than a puppet. But even this fear was overpowered by the terrifying thought that he might have to spend the rest of his life in this form. If he went to that place, he should be able to learn something.
As he approached the temple with a mixture of anxiety and expectation, what awaited him was neither the light of freedom nor the darkness of enslavement. The temple he returned to had been destroyed. There were no clues left to find in this place.
With his last glimmer of hope extinguished, something tiny, yet important, crumbled within him. He could not stop the seedling of doubt that had taken root in his heart from spreading. Why had his god aided him in his time of crisis? Why did his god remain silent?
To his god, he was no longer a disciple. His god was the same as his family, with no need for his abominable self. Cursed, steeped in darkness, he was nothing more than a monster.
"My god has forsaken me." The despair in his heart transformed now into anger at the god who had abandoned him.
The sword and shield that had served to reassure him were now nothing more than symbols of despicable betrayal. He cast his tools of combat into the ruins of the evil temple and put that place behind him. To challenge a god, he would need sufficient power. In his memory existed something that would serve that purpose: the ultimate weapon, possessing power surpassing the gods themselves--Soul Edge.
He would use the very weapon his god feared to strike him down. It would be the ultimate revenge.

Awash in immeasurable anger, a brutal impulse welled up from the depths of his grotesque body. The idea of becoming a cold-blooded beast no longer frightened him.[2]

Soulcalibur IV[]

Despondent over his lot, the once pious man longed to slay the god who had abandoned him. But fate ad dealt him an even crueler hand than he knew: his body had already turned into something grotesque. And now his mind too, was becoming twisted by it. His human emotions and memories disappeared bit by bit, until at last even his heart had degenerated into that of a monster.

Before he knew it, a horde of beastly kinsmen had flocked to his side. With his stronger build and superior battle technqiue, he exuded dominance over the other lizardmen without a word being spoken, and they made him their leader. He gave himself over to vicious impulses, and began leading his pack on a murderous rampage.

Except at night, when his sleep grew patchy. Sometimes he would open his eyes, and there they would be: the sensations and memories of being human, resurrected, He would be astounded by his nightmarish reality, his unstructured thoughts. He did not even know who he was. Only a great hollow emptiness remained, driving him on in a desperate panic. He'd lost something, something as precious as life itself. Of course, his soul! What had become of his soul? Only one memory remained to him, and it shone with the last vestiges of the obsession he had once held: Soul Edge. That was where his soul lay!

(My...my soul. Must find it. Once the sun has risen...)

And with that last thought, he shut his eyes and fell back into the abyss of sleep.

The god must die...

Despondent over his lot, the man had given himself over to the rage seething withim him. "Any god that would abandon one of his believers," he thought, "deserves no quarter from me." Whatever the price, he was ready to pay it to see the task done. What else could he possible stand to lose?

Alas, much. Fate had dealt him an even crueler hand than he knew.

His body had already turned into something grotesque, and now his mind too, was becoming twisted by it. The moment he gave up being a man, the beast within increased its claim on his heart, and bit by bit, his humanity ebbed away. The subtle emotions he once commanded grew as coarse and rough as his appearance; he was degenerating into a cold-blooded being with a heart of stone.

His human memories were fading as well. The friends he had met, the family who had nurtured him and given him warmth—all his dearest memories began to disperse. But over time, he found he missed them less and less. One by one, inevitably, they left him—the way the bark of a withered tree peels away one strip at a time—and fell into the inescapable depths of Hell. Until at last he relinquished even his own name, Aeon Calcos, to the far side of oblivion.

Before he knew it, a horde of beastly kinsmen were flocking to his side. They, too, were monstrous enhancements of the heathens' creation. After the cult's demise, they were left without a master and scattered. Once, he might have sympathized with them, seeing as they had used to be human and were thus victims as much as himself. But only a beastly shrewdness compelled him now; between himself and these new lizardmen, who was the strongest? Who was worthy to rule them? On that count, none could touch him. A stronger build and superior battle technique—he exuded dominance without even uttering a single word. The other lizardmen had always acted under the orders of others; now they were looking for a strong master. Thus not a drop of blood was needlessly shed, for beasts have their laws.

In the past he had ruled over writhing beasts and hunted many a soul, but now he had no purpose and acted on instinct alone. He gave himself over to vicious impules: pillaging for the sake of pillaging; killing for the sake of killing. Freed from the yoke of the heathens, he bared his fangs as his god in vain, for without the reins of reason he was no better than a wandering animal. Under cover of darkness, his monstrous pack attacked both man and beast. People soon spoke of them in terror, as if they were the Black Death itself returned.

It always happened in the dead of night, when his sleep grew patchy. Sometimes he would open his eyes, and there they would be: the sensations and memories of being human, resurrected. He would be astounded by his current predicament, only to find endless blankess. And when he tried to sum up his thoughts, he would discover that most of the words needed to do so were lost to him. Just like a moth-eaten tome, missing words kept his train of thought from expressing any kind of meaning. Beset by a fierce agitation, he tried with all his might to remember, failing, in the end, to even come up with his own name.

It was too late. The water jar holding his memories had been cracked beyond repair, and now nearly all of them had leaked away. Only a great hollow emptiness remained, driving him on in a desperate panic. He'd lost something, something as precious as life itself. How it agonized him that he could not find the word! A raucous moan escaped from his hideous maw, and he shook unconsciously. "Wait," he thought. "It's on the tip of my tongue..."

Then—yes!—he remembered. "My soul! What has become of my soul?" A reckless inventory of his memories led him to the single drop remaining at the bottom of the jar. It shone with the last of vestiges of the obsession he had once held: Soul Edge. The name floated, conspicuously, brilliantly, to the top of his mind. "Yes!" he thought. "That is where my soul lies!" In the mad bliss of recollection, he began repeating the words, to hold them fast lest they flicker and disappear: "My soul. Soul Edge. My soul. Soul Edge. My soul. Soul Edge..."

(My...my soul. Must find it. Once the sun has risen...)

And with that last thought, he exhaled, shut his eyes, and slouched back into a deep sleep.

However, the next time he opened his eyes, all his human thoughts and memories were lost once more—all except for one earnest hope left by his human heart, powerful enough to move even the heartless beast he had become.[3]

Soulcalibur V[]

Aeon from Sparta was yet another holy warrior sent forth by his god to destroy the cursed blade Soul Edge. Tragically, his quest led him to be captured by Fygul Cestemus and he was transformed into a monstrous beast.
"Why has my god forsaken me...!?" Overwhelmed with despair over the notion that he'd never be human again, Aeon's soul was gradually transformed into that of a beast's as well. Barely able to remember how to walk on two feet, Aeon degraded into a monster who devours everyone in sight.
Much time passed before the insatiable beast heard a disembodied and inhuman voice within the dark recesses of his cave.
Devour it all. Only then will your wish be granted.
At that point, Aeon began gaining traits of his devoured victims. With every body he tore into and every drop of blood he licked up, Aeon's body and soul underwent further transformations.
The existence formerly known as the man named Aeon regained some awareness and began tracing the faded remnants of his own memories.
"I may not know what it is, but I am certain I lost something long ago. I want to get it back..."
The beast could only think of one solution: to devour more prey. This time, he would devour the tender flesh of a holy warrior.[4]

Weapons[]

Fighting Style[]

Soulcalibur IV[]

Rapid Ares Style[]

Holy warriors sent Aeon a quest by the Forge God of Ancient Greece. The Gods of Olympus guarded them. One of them was the God of War, Ares. But when he learned of Soul Edge, Ares desired it. Ares changed form into "Palgaea the Executioner" and ordered a group to find Soul Edge. Even now, the artificially created human (golem?) is chasing after it. On the other hand, the man who had the blessing of Ares continued to resist his fate even as he fell victim to it.

Aeon Calcos. Half-human, half-animal and the plaything of fate. Even though he would like to throw away his weapon and change identities, he has no choice but to continue the sword of his betraying God in order to survive.

Soulcalibur V[]

Rapid Ares Style + moves absorbed from prey[]

The warrior Aeon had caught the attention of the gods of Olympus with his devout faith and peerless skill with the sword. As a holy warrior, Aeon practiced the fighting style known as the Rapid Ares Style, which was named after the god of war.
Not only did every god Aeon ever worshipped forsake him, but they went so far as to select new holy warriors for the fight against the cursed blade and order them to hunt down "the man-eating beast" that Aeon had become.
Numerous holy warriors faced off against Aeon, and the sight of a divine hero trading blows with a flying, fire-breathing beast was like a scene out of ancient legends.
Sadly, these holy warriors would not get their hero's ending. Instead, they would die bewildered by the fact that the unholy beast they were sent to destroy fought with a fighting style blessed by their own ancient gods.

Critical Finish[]

Drilling Tornado: Lizardman spins on his side, slashing the opponent with ax and shield, then jumps in the air and performs several spinning hits on the head to finish them off.

His critical finish on Yoda is his unblockable rolling attack.

Critical Edge[]

Devourer of God: Aeon forward rolls into his opponent along the ground and then flies into the air and breathes fire on the downed opponent.

Stages[]

Relationships[]

  • Defeated by Rock in Soulcalibur because he kidnapped Bangoo.
  • Servant of Nightmare and Astaroth in Soulcalibur.
  • Leader of the Lizardmen.
  • Given new powers by Ares.

Soulcalibur (Chinese Manhua)[]

  • In Volume 1 (Act.4), armies of Lizardmen rise during Nightmare's ritual.
  • In Volume 3 (Act.14), Meimei was killed by the armies of Lizardmen.

Series Appearances[]

Trivia[]

General[]

  • Lizardman's earlier incarnations in Soulcalibur and Soulcalibur III, and his Soulcalibur IV alternative costume, more closely resemble a dinosaur. Lizardman's appearance in Soulcalibur V gives him the looks of a dragon, with his new fire attack and wings. Wings will still form on the backs of created characters using his moves and when performing moves which involve the exhalation of fire, the created character will simply open his/her mouth and breathe fire, as normal. His wings in Soulcalibur V appear/disappear with the performance of certain moves and entry into/exit out of certain stances.
  • He is one of the characters to change weapon types. Also he started out as a right-handed character and became left-handed in later iterations of the game, only to wield an axe in both hands in Soulcalibur V.
  • After some of his moves, he will briefly adopt the fighting stance of Sophitia.
  • It is unknown how Lizardman's morphology changes so much from one game to another, or even from one costume to the other. The most probable explanation would be that only one of these appearances is the correct one, the other ones being non-canonical (or other lizardmen). There is also the standing possibility that Lizardman simply evolves and changes form at a rapid pace due to his initial transformation into his current state, but all theories have yet to be proven.
  • Aeon, Link, and Abelia are the only sword and shield wielding characters who aren't related to the Alexandra family.

Soulcalibur[]

  • Lizardman is known as the Jade-Scaled Terror.
  • Within the Schwarzstrom group, Lizardman is referred to as "Base Vert: Vile Emerald".[5]

Soulcalibur II[]

  • Sophitia can use Lizardman's sword and shield, but the weapon gallery gives no mention of Lizardman or Aeon Calcos by name. It does say that the warrior who used them met a terrible fate.
  • In Weapon Master, one of the dungeons is filled with Lizardmen. At the end, the boss is named Calcos, the Oblivion Knight.
  • One of the teams that often appears in Extra Team Battle Mode is made up of three "lizardmen".

Soulcalibur III[]

  • The Soul of Lizardman discipline is available to created characters of the Assassin class.

Soulcalibur IV[]

  • In Lizardman's Story Mode, he is accompanied by another lizardman who uses the Meat on the Bone as a weapon.
  • In Ashlotte's Story Mode, Lizardman follows her from that point on for some unknown reason after she defeats him, Rock, and Cassandra.

Soulcalibur V[]

  • Lizardman is now referred to as his real name "Aeon".
  • His voice seems to have gotten deeper than the previous Soul series.
  • Aeon's new stance and dual-wielding moveset highly resembles that of Kratos, the main protagonist of the God of War series and the guest character for Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. Several attacks and animations have been directly recreated for Aeon's use, even the wings that Kratos could use for certain combos.
    • It should also be noticed that he, like Kratos, is a Spartan.
  • Aeon has the ability to blast a fire breath, similar to True Ogre from the Tekken series.
  • Aeon's 2P costume is majorly a color swap (Orange instead of blue and blue instead of red) Also the color scheme is slighly reminiscent of Charizard of the Pokémon franchise. Charizard, like Aeon is a huge lizard like Pokémon known for using fire and flying attacks.
  • The player cannot freely customize Aeon in creation mode.
  • He is similar to Skorn from Blades of Fury, as they are both lizard-man hybrids with twin weapons that breathe fire and fly.
  • Some of Aeon's moves are named "Turnus Style", "Camilla Style" or "Mezentius Style" ("Mezentius Style Grit Blast" for example). Turnus, Camilla and Mezentius are all characters from the epic poem "Aeneid", written by the roman poet Virgil.

Soulcalibur VI[]

  • While Aeon is not a playable character, a lizardman that is simply referred to as "Lizardman Chief" appears in Astaroth's Soul Chronicle. Furthermore, a unique Lizardman can be fought in Libra of Soul that wears Scaled Spaulders, Scaled Cuirass, Scaled Gauntlets, and Scaled Greaves. These equipment pieces were worn by Aeon in Soulcalibur IV, and they are not selectable in Soulcalibur VI, meaning that only this one particular Lizardman can be seen wearing them. However, it should be noted that this Lizardman appears to be orange, whereas Aeon's 1P outfits usually have him as some shade of green; and is wielding an axe and shield, weapons that Aeon would only start to use in Soulcalibur III.
